Are my files safe?
Yes. Files are processed on our server and permanently deleted 60 minutes after upload. We never read your file contents or share them with third parties.
Do I need to create an account?
No. PDF Lab is completely anonymous. No email, no password, no account required.
What is the file size limit?
Each file can be up to 20 MB. If you need to process larger files, consider compressing them first.
How many files can I upload per day?
You can upload up to 5 files per day from the same IP address. This limit resets every 24 hours.
What PDF tools are available?
We offer Merge, Split, Compress, Rotate, Delete Pages, Extract Pages, Protect, Unlock, and Remove Metadata.
How does the 60-minute deletion work?
As soon as you upload a file, a timer starts. After 60 minutes, both the original upload and any processed output are permanently deleted from our server.
Can I use PDF Lab on mobile?
Yes! The interface is fully responsive and works on all modern mobile browsers.
Is there an API?
Not at the moment. PDF Lab is a browser-only tool for the MVP. API access may be added in a future release.
What happens if processing fails?
If an error occurs during processing, we will show you a clear error message. No file is stored beyond the session, and you can try again.
Does the Compress tool reduce image quality?
The 'Medium' and 'Low' quality settings may slightly reduce embedded image quality to achieve smaller file sizes. The 'High' quality setting preserves images but still optimises the PDF structure.
